Oppenheimer có số đề cử Oscar lớn nhất sau 7 năm

Tối 23-1, Viện hàn lâm Điện ảnh Mỹ chính thức công bố các đề cử giải Oscar lần thứ 96 - sự kiện điện ảnh được quan tâm nhất hành tinh. Viện hàn lâm Khoa học và Nghệ thuật điện ảnh Mỹ (gồm 9.300 thành viên) đã bỏ phiếu để chọn ra các đề cử xứng đáng nhất cho những hạng mục tại Oscar 2024.

Phim về nhà vật lý lỗi lạc J. Robert Oppenheimer (do Cillian Murphu đóng) giành 13 đề cử Oscar 2024.

Theo đó, bom tấn Oppenheimer và vị đạo diễn tài ba Christopher Nolan vẫn là hai cái tên được nhắc nhiều nhất, được đề cử ở nhiều hạng mục quan trọng như: Phim hay nhất, Đạo diễn, Kịch bản chuyển thể, Nam chính, Nam phụ, Nữ phụ xuất sắc.

Dự án có kinh phí 100 triệu USD, được giới phê bình đánh giá là một trong những phim hay nhất năm nay. Tác phẩm chuyển thể từ sách tiểu sử American Prometheus, do Kai Bird và Martin Sherwin viết, xoay quanh cuộc sống và công việc của nhà vật lý lý thuyết J. Robert Oppenheimer (do Cillian Murphy đóng), người lãnh đạo Dự án Manhattan sản xuất vũ khí hạt nhân.

Oppenheimer thành công với doanh thu cao thứ ba năm 2023 (hơn 950 triệu USD). Đồng thời, phim gây chú ý tại mùa giải thưởng khi chiến thắng tại nhiều sự kiện tiền Oscar như Quả Cầu Vàng, Critics' Choice Movie Awards, SAG Awards.

Đạo diễn Christopher Nolan cùng đoàn phim Oppenheimer mới gặt hái được 6 giải Quả cầu vàng (giải thưởng quan trọng tiền Oscar) hồi đầu tháng.

Ngoài Oppenheimer, 9 tác phẩm có tên trong hạng mục quan trọng Phim hay nhất gồm Killers of the Flower Moon, American Fiction, Anatomy of a Fall, Barbie, The Holdovers, Maestro, Past Lives, Poor Things và The Zone of Interest.

Đề cử hạng mục Phim hay nhất - Oscar 2024

Trong đó, Poor Things nhận 11 đề cử, như Đạo diễn xuất sắc (Yorgos Lanthimos) và Nữ diễn viên chính xuất sắc cho Emma Stone. Nội dung xoay quanh Bella (Emma Stone), cô gái được nhà khoa học Dr. Godwin Baxter (Willem Dafoe) hồi sinh từ cõi chết. Cảm thấy ngột ngạt bởi sự bao bọc của Baxter, Bella bỏ trốn cùng Duncan Wedderburn (Mark Ruffalo), một luật sư láu cá và ranh mãnh. Từ đó, cô dấn thân vào những cuộc phiêu lưu bí ẩn.

Giải thường niên của Viện Hàn lâm Khoa học và Nghệ thuật Điện ảnh Mỹ là một trong các sự kiện phim ảnh nổi tiếng và uy tín bậc nhất thế giới. Năm nay, sự kiện diễn ra tại Nhà hát Dolby, Los Angeles (Mỹ) vào ngày 10/3.
