The project "Strengthening communication and community cohesion in COVID-19 risk prevention" aims to strengthen community behavior change coordination and communication on COVID-19 prevention by National Development Agency. USAID (USAID) through John Hopkins University and the Relief Organization in Vietnam (SCI) implemented from May to September 2020 in 2 communes A Vao and A Bung, district Dakrong.
After 4 months of implementation, the project has provided each commune with 5 portable speakers, 3 pull speakers, supporting the installation of 13 wireless loudspeaker clusters, 2,600 communication posters, 6,500 medical masks, 65 water bottles. bacteria and video and audio on what to do to prevent COVID-19. The project has also organized capacity building training sessions for health workers, commune officials, teachers and students on disease prevention and control communication. Since then, it helps people in remote areas and ethnic minorities to access many useful and meaningful information and messages; at the same time, to be more active in the prevention and control of COVID-19, protect the health of themselves and the community by voluntarily wearing a mask when going out, washing hands often with soap and clean water ...
At the conference, delegates also participated in many discussions about the implementation process, the results achieved by the project for the beneficiary localities; At the same time, clearly stating the recommendations and suggestions in the coming time.
