Festival 'Safe community - I'm happy to go to school'

Today 23/9/2020, at Gio Linh Town Primary School, Gio Linh District, in collaboration with Project RENEW Quang Tri, Vietcombank, Irish Aid Organization organizes a festival for children poor overcoming difficulties in 2020 with the theme 'Safe community - I'm happy to go to school'.

At the program, nearly 500 students from primary and secondary schools in the district were able to play useful and interesting games, participate in exciting folk dance performances and activities. Propaganda painting for landmine / UXO prevention, COVID prevention - 19.

On this occasion, the Gio Linh District Children Fund and Project RENEW Quang Tri awarded 48 gifts (each worth VND500,000) to 48 students with difficult circumstances; Vietcombank donated 40 bicycles (each valued at more than 1.2 million VND) to 40 students with extremely difficult circumstances to excel in learning; The local Youth Union of Gio Linh district and the sub-divisions of the subordinate units of the district, the Youth Union awarded 7 gifts (each with VND400,000) to 7 students who were adopted by the Youth Union.

Secretary of the District Youth Union, Chairman of the District Team Council Gio Linh Nguyen Hong Quan said the program was organized to share and motivate students in difficult circumstances in the district in the new school year. Thereby encouraging them to overcome difficulties in order to achieve good results in learning, striving to become good pupils and good students.
